The Best Free Order Flow Software in 2026 (What Each Free Tier Really Gives You)

Every order flow platform advertises a free plan, and every one of those plans is limited in a way the marketing page words carefully. This is a line-by-line reading of four permanent free tiers — free order flow software you can use indefinitely without a card — including ours, and including the limits we would rather not lead with. The short version: free crypto order flow is genuinely good in 2026, and free real-time futures order flow does not exist anywhere.

Disclosure. We build NOROVIEW, so read this the way you would read any vendor's comparison page. What we can offer instead of neutrality is checkable numbers: every competitor figure below was taken from that vendor's own pricing page on 13 August 2026, not from a review site — the review sites disagreed with the vendors on nearly every number we checked. Where a competitor is better, it says so. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Paper trading is on every NOROVIEW plan including free — one account, three open positions.

The short version

Best free tier for crypto breadth: Bookmap Digital — real-time across Binance, Bitfinex and twenty-plus more exchanges.
Best free tier for learning the craft: ATAS Start — market replay is included, which is the single most useful thing a free plan can give a beginner.
Best free tier for footprint charts plus practice: NOROVIEW — standard footprint charts and a paper trading account, real-time on Binance, nothing to install.
Read the fine print on: Exocharts' free web tier, which runs 24 hours behind unless you register — registering gets live data on a few selected pairs.

The thing every free tier has in common

None of them gives you real-time futures order flow. Not one. The wording differs, and the wording is where the honesty lives:

  • ATAS Start: a 15-minute delay, and futures data cannot be connected in real time. Real-time futures start at PRO, €69.95/month.
  • Bookmap: every package lists stocks and futures as delayed — including the $99 one. Live futures require a BookmapData subscription from $34/month.
  • Exocharts: traditional markets come through dxFeed in Desktop Pro at $49/month. Not a free-tier feature.
  • NOROVIEW: free futures charts show history up to the end of the last closed session. That is not a delayed live feed — it is the previous session. Real-time CME starts at $19/month.

This is not vendors being cynical. CME sells its data and somebody has to pay for it. But if you have seen an ad promising free real-time futures order flow, it was either about crypto or it was not true.

Crypto is the opposite story, and it is why every free tier here is real-time on crypto: exchanges publish order book depth publicly. If you want to learn to read flow without spending anything, learn it on crypto. The skill transfers.

What we would actually recommend, by situation

You have never seen a footprint chart. Open any of them and put a footprint on BTC. Then read a real explainer alongside it — how to read footprint charts is free and needs no account. The chart makes little sense until someone explains what the two columns are.

You want to practise without risking money. NOROVIEW's free plan includes a paper trading account with positions, orders and history; ATAS Start includes market replay so you can rerun a session. Those are different tools — replay teaches you to read, paper trading teaches you to execute. Ideally use both.

You trade several crypto exchanges. Bookmap Digital, easily. Twenty-plus exchanges free is more than anyone else offers at any price.

You are on a Mac, an iPad or a work laptop. NOROVIEW, because it is the only one here with nothing to install.

You are deciding whether to pay for futures order flow. No free tier will tell you. Use a free crypto plan to find out whether you like reading flow at all — that question is answerable for nothing, and it is the one that matters.

What real-time US futures order flow actually costs

Software price is the number vendors advertise. For CME order flow it is rarely the number you pay, because on several platforms the market data is a separate line item. This is the comparison that matters, all-in:

Platform Software Real-time futures data All-in / month Runs in
NOROVIEW Basic $19 Included $19 Browser
Exocharts Desktop Pro $49 dxFeed included $49 + VAT Desktop
Bookmap Global $49 + $34 BookmapData $83 Desktop
ATAS PRO €69.95 Included in PRO €69.95 + VAT Desktop
Quantower $70 Purchased separately $70+ Desktop
Sierra Chart $36–$56 Denali + exchange fees $36+ and up Desktop
TradingView Plus+ Plan price CME add-on, extra Plan + add-on Browser

Two things are worth saying plainly about that table. Bookmap's advertised $49 is not the price of futures order flow — BookmapData futures is $34/mo on top, so the real figure is $83. And NOROVIEW and TradingView are the only two that run in a browser, but TradingView bills CME real-time data as a separate add-on. That is the whole argument for NOROVIEW in one row.

Where NOROVIEW is the wrong choice

NOROVIEW covers Binance only for crypto — Exocharts reaches five exchanges and Bookmap more than twenty. It is analysis only: no execution, no broker routing, so you trade through your own broker or exchange. Historical tick depth and replay do not go as deep as Exocharts' six years. And futures data on the free plan is last-closed-session history rather than a live feed — real-time CME starts at $19.

On free tiers specifically, ours loses in two clear places: Bookmap Digital covers many times more crypto exchanges, and ATAS Start includes market replay while we gate more of the order flow tooling behind $19 — no depth ledger and no heatmap on our free plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is there genuinely free order flow software?
Yes — Bookmap Digital, ATAS Start and NOROVIEW's free plan are permanent free tiers with real-time crypto data and no expiry. All three limit charts, indicators or tools, and none provides real-time futures.

Can I get free footprint charts?
Yes. NOROVIEW's free plan includes the standard footprint chart, Bookmap's free tier includes footprint, and ATAS Start includes it within its indicator limits. Exocharts' free desktop build gives full order flow but only on SHIBA, DOGE and SOLANA.

Is there free real-time futures order flow?
No. ATAS delays futures 15 minutes on its free plan and states they cannot be connected live; Bookmap lists futures as delayed on every package; NOROVIEW's free futures charts show history to the end of the last closed session. CME sells its data, so somebody pays.

What is the catch with free order flow platforms?
Usually one of three: the data is delayed, the instrument list is tiny, or the order flow tools specifically are the paid part. Read the free column of the pricing page rather than the headline — that is where the limit is written.

What is the best free platform for learning order flow?
ATAS Start if you want market replay, NOROVIEW if you want footprint charts plus a paper trading account and nothing to install, Bookmap Digital if you want the widest crypto coverage. All three are permanently free, so trying all three costs an evening.
