Order Flow Trading Course: 16 Free Lessons, From Zero to a Live Trade
⚠️ Education only. Nothing in this course is financial advice. Trading is high risk and you can lose your money. Full disclaimer at the bottom of every lesson.
This is a complete order flow trading course, free, in sixteen lessons. It takes you from "I have never opened a chart" to "I can read the raw buying and selling inside a candle, build a level map, take a confirmed entry, manage the trade, and size it so a losing streak cannot end me."
The through-line, repeated in almost every lesson:
Indicators are calculated from price, so they always arrive late. Order flow is the buying and selling that makes the price.
Everything in Part 1 runs on a free account. Open NOROVIEW in another tab and work through the lessons with a live chart next to you — this is a skill built from screen time, not from reading.
How the course is structured

| Part | Lessons | What it gives you |
|---|---|---|
| Part 1 — Analysis | 1–5 | How markets actually work, the data, the chart types, the footprint, trend |
| Part 2 — Technique | 6–13 | Levels, volume profile, VWAP, absorption, entries, CVD, fair value gaps |
| Part 3 — Trading | 14–16 | Risk, psychology, the exchange, trade management |
The order matters more than the content. Most people do it backwards: they open an account, start clicking, lose money, and then go looking for a method — by which point they are impatient, bruised, and trying to learn while they are bleeding. Nobody learns well while they are bleeding.
Part 1 — Analysis
1 · Order Flow Trading for Beginners
What order flow actually is and why it is structurally different from every indicator. The full roadmap, how long it realistically takes to become profitable, what a realistic monthly return looks like, and the one rule for the rest of the course. 17 min · start here
2 · Level 1 vs Level 2 Market Data
The two data streams every exchange emits, what Level 1 structurally cannot tell you, how to read an order book, why Bitcoin has a different price on every exchange, and whether you can analyse on one venue and execute on another. 18 min
3 · How Price Really Moves
Why "more buyers than sellers" is impossible. Bid, ask and the spread; passive vs aggressive orders; a tick-by-tick worked example of a price being formed; the second way price moves; and time vs range candles. 19 min · the most important conceptual lesson
4 · How to Read Footprint Charts
The complete guide. Cell anatomy, the zoom problem that stops most beginners, delta and the trap inside it, volume vs ticks, ATS, AVB and ABS, absorption, divergence, POC and value area, aggregation — plus a full setup you can copy. 26 min · the longest and most valuable lesson
5 · Market Structure and Trend
How to define a trend objectively enough that a stranger would reach the same conclusion. Swing point rules, impulse vs correction, when a trend actually ends, the range, and the arithmetic behind trading with the trend. 17 min
Part 2 — Technique
6 · The Order Flow Trading Strategy
The whole method in three lines. The five families of levels, why levels alone fail and order flow alone fails, how to rank levels down to five per side, the daily routine, and the six-step trade sequence. 19 min
7 · Volume Profile Trading Guide
POC, value area, high and low volume nodes, naked and developing POCs, AVO, the five profile shapes taught as stories, and anchored profiles — where the real edge lives. 24 min
8 · VWAP and Anchored VWAP
Why institutional execution is benchmarked to VWAP and what that does to order flow. The arithmetic, standard deviation bands done properly, fat tails, balanced days vs trend days, and anchored VWAP as a battle line. 20 min
9 · Order Flow Support and Resistance
Cutting twenty level types down to three. High-ATS levels found by hand, automatic order-flow levels, untested POCs, how to rank them when they disagree, and the four ways a level dies. 17 min
10 · Absorption, Exhaustion, Icebergs and Imbalance
The five events that actually move markets, what is physically happening in the order book for each, how to tell absorption from exhaustion, how to catch an iceberg, and where all five lead: trapped traders. 22 min
11 · My Order Flow Entry Model
The four conditions, the exact trigger candle specification, why negative delta with a strong close is the best long signal there is, the rule that saves the most money, and the ten-item blocker list. 21 min
12 · Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD)
How CVD is built, the three sources, the four price/CVD combinations, reading CVD candle wicks, and the four honest limits of divergence — the most over-traded idea in order flow. 20 min
13 · Fair Value Gaps With Order Flow
Most fair value gaps do nothing. Five checks using footprint data that tell you in advance which ones are worth trading, which part of the gap to use, and what to do when one fails. 18 min
Part 3 — Trading
14 · Risk Management and Psychology
The lesson everybody skips. Position sizing mechanically, the drawdown recovery arithmetic, hard limits, decision vs outcome, and the five mental states that break traders — each with a mechanical fix. 24 min · do not skip this one
15 · How to Day Trade Crypto With Order Flow
Exchange security, spot vs perpetual futures, leverage and liquidation, every order type you need, fee drag on a small account, the two-screen workflow, and an honest $100 starting plan. 22 min
16 · Trade Management
When break-even stops quietly cost you money, partial exits, four kinds of trailing stop, the order-flow exit that only this kind of data enables, and how to diagnose your own over-management with MFE and MAE. 21 min · the finale

How to actually work through this
Do not read all sixteen in a weekend. You will feel like you learned something and remember almost none of it.
- One lesson at a time, with the platform open beside you, doing everything on your own screen.
- Do the homework at the end of each one before moving on. Every lesson has a specific, do-it-today practice task.
- Keep a paper notebook. It starts in lesson 1, before you have taken a single trade.
- Block four hours a week. Not "when I have time" — actual blocks with actual times. The people who finish courses are the ones who scheduled them.
- No real money until lesson 15. Not after lesson 4 when the footprint clicks and you feel like you can see the matrix. That feeling is real, it is early, and it has cost a lot of people a lot of money.
Watching does not make you a trader. Screen time makes you a trader. Twenty replay sessions beat twenty videos.
Who this course is for
Complete beginners. Never traded, maybe never opened a chart. That is genuinely fine — in some ways you are better off, because you have nothing to unlearn. Every term is defined the first time it appears.
Traders who already have a method. Price action, supply and demand, ICT concepts, classical technical analysis. You are not here to start over, and you should not. For you, order flow is a confirmation layer: you already know how to find the place where you want to trade, and your problem is that you cannot tell which of those places will actually hold. Order flow answers exactly that one question.
Who it is not for: people looking for signals to copy, people who want to be told what to buy, and people who want a system that removes the need to think. That does not exist — and if it did, the person who had it would not be posting it.
Frequently asked questions
Is this order flow trading course really free? Yes. All sixteen lessons are published in full on this blog with nothing gated, no email required and no paid tier. There is no advanced course and no signal group. The standard footprint chart, market replay and paper trading are also free on NOROVIEW, so you can complete the course without spending anything.
How long does it take to learn order flow trading? Realistically six months to two years to reach consistency, with most people around two years. Three things set that clock: hours of screen time to build pattern recognition, a few hundred trades before results describe skill rather than luck, and surviving two or three drawdowns without abandoning the method.
What order should I learn order flow in? Analysis first, then technique, then trading — which is the order of this course. Understanding how a price is physically formed before learning footprint charts, and understanding footprint charts before learning entries, means each layer sits on something solid rather than on memorised rules.
Do I need paid software to learn order flow? No. The core tool — the footprint chart — is free on NOROVIEW, as are market replay and paper trading. Several lessons use paid indicators such as volume profile and CVD, but each one also explains the manual, free method, which is usually more instructive while you are learning.
Does order flow trading work in crypto? Yes, and crypto has one structural advantage: order book depth is published publicly, whereas in most equity markets Level 2 is a paid subscription. The requirement is liquidity — order-flow analysis is only as good as the volume underneath it, so major pairs and high-volume perpetual futures work best.
Can order flow be combined with ICT or price action? Yes, and that is often the highest-value use of it. Those methods are good at finding locations; order flow tells you which locations are actually being defended when price arrives. Lesson 13 works through exactly this with fair value gaps.
